Splash potions and lingering have effects on blocks for 30. Lingering potions keep the effect active for 30 seconds after the effeect pool disappears weakness makes bedrock turn to obsidian for 30 seconds strength makes obsidian turn to bedrock for 30 seconds invisiblity turns obsidian to barriers for 30 seconds

Weakened Bedrock

Throwing a Lingering Potion of Weakness onto bedrock will randomly “weaken” the surrounding bedrock inside the effect cloud into cobblestone.

Works in all dimensions but the blocks, other than the initial bedrock block
